Trials are not my thing. Pictured above is a photo from the first all woman American jury. A day or so ago, I became aware of a trial going on in Massachusetts about a woman named Lindsay Clancy who seems to have admitted to killing her children. For a few days, the shot of a boring beige courtroom followed by the judge entering and then telling the jury to go and deliberate has captured the imagination of a lot of people. As best I can tell the background of this trial has been a flood in Nepal and in the Grand Canyon and this trial appears to be an example of the same energy as those floods. An outburst of water, or in this case emotion, rushing through the community followed by the ensuing rescue and cleanup.
Neptune has finished its transit of Pisces earlier this year but that doesn’t mean the old ideals disappeared overnight. This trial is about an event that occurred under the rays of the Pisces Neptune. Today, near 11:28 am, the judge declared a mistrial. Astrologically, trials are associated with the Libra zodiac sign, Venus as ruler and the seventh house. Mistrials are fairly unusual and getting the time one is declared is rarer even than that. Therefore, without passing any judgement on the case itself I will examine the mistrial.
So let’s look at the factors associated with trials. The seventh house would be the courtroom, the trial and ultimately the mistrial as well. Venus is the ruler and is the actor but once must not forget the asteroid Pallas who is associated with justice. Finally, the effect of the mistrial would be Libra which was in the eleventh and twelfth house. Finally, the Gemini Uranus is in the seventh house and this is the actor that seems to suggest what happened. Uranus is a maverick. As was revealed, at least in the eyes of the jury foreman, a lone juror may have stood apart from the others. Uranus is also the modern ruler of Aquarius whose natural house is the eleventh and juries are groups of people associated with the eleventh.
Uranus in the seventh. Uranus is present in the courtroom. However, he is ruling the retrograde Aquarius Pluto in the third house. This is the ruler of the moment. Since the judge had to take the action, this could very well be the judge although he would usually be Jupiter. It is possible he is both.
Although it is not a tight aspect, the Libra Venus most associated with woman, is opposed by the Aries Pallas and also the retrograde Aries Vesta. In tight aspect, she is also blocked by the retrograde Capricorn Juno. The astrological planets are generally male. The Moon and Venus are the only traditional planets that are female but I use all four of the major asteroids, which are all female. Ceres, Vesta, Juno and Pallas. Other than Ceres, all were blocking Venus.
The proximate event may have been Uranus in the seventh but the overall message to Venus was a block. Juno is in her role as special counselor of the state. Pallas Athena, the goddess of fairness, is in Aries. In image, Lady Justice often holds the scales of justice aloft but in her other hand she holds a sword. Pallas Athena in Aries would be holding the sword aloft.
Venus could not overcome the opposition and the block of her peer goddesses. The next hearing date will take Venus into Scorpio but this year Venus will retrograde and spend more time in Libra starting October 24, 2026. The Libra Venus will turn direct on November 14, 2026 and exit Libra on December 5, 2026. The defense seems to want to immediately begin a retrial and a retrograde Venus might be an indication of that event occuring.
Uranus is in Gemini and not moving. This entire time Uranus will be in Gemini and for a significant amount of time on the same degree. Gemini is a dual sign. Of two minds. As I went to eat my dinner, I saw a story of a bride in Bulacan, Phillipines who waded up the church aisle in flood waters that stretched across the church and out onto the street. That is a picture of Libra Venus in the twelfth. The National Catholic Register noted that the groom works suspended over water and that the waters represented an image of baptismal grace washing away the old and symbolizing a new covenant.
On September 29th, there will be a further hearing on the Lindsay Clancy case. On that day, Venus will be in Scorpio and the four female asteroids will be in discussion with themselves. The Cancer Ceres and Aries Pallas will be tightly square each other and Capricorn Juno and Aries Vesta will be loosely square each other. The Moon will be oppose Venus. For all the sturm and drang of the defense attorney taking the Uranian maverick juror to task who he said was male, astrologically this is a fight among the women.
The Pisces Neptune transit has ended and the Aries Neptune transit has begun. New submerged ideals are surfacing. There is something happening that has not yet totally crystallized for me. These images point to the aftermath of the Piscean flood. Aries new beginning and a new world. I have often said that Pisces is the stuff you hide under your bed or in your attic. The clutter. The forms that have been appearing, the floods that burst out, and the bride marrying standing in water. They make us answer the question, what do we do with the clutter/water? Shoving it back under the bed isn’t an option. No longer swept under the bed or away in the attic the Aries Neptune is asserting himself and won’t be ignored any longer.
