Piscean Moments – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Dream, 1963

Bliss. The Piscean Moment. Fantasy, dreams and sentience. These moments are magical. Aspirational. They evoke connection to all. There are boundless. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood before an audience on the Lincoln Memorial steps and the nation engaged in a Piscean moment. This occurred at 4:09 p.m. on August 28, 1963. This is the moment the radio broadcast showed he said the words…I have a dream. He was engaged directly with the American Dream.

The moment MLK spoke the first “I Have a Dream” in his speech at the March on Washington.

The 4° Virgo Sun and Venus are on the Sabian symbol “black and white children play together happily”. This is very literal. The conjunction of Sun and any other planet represents a clearing of karma. The astrological cycle has purification stages for the purpose of clearing the residue of the past. A purification stage was occurring that day. The karma was in the 8th house of shared resources and also the place that old toxic manipulation and control issues are found. The karma that was being cleared that day was the racism inherent in the United States after the Civil War. The dream itself was aspirational and is represented by the Sagittarius Moon. The 21° Sagittarius Moon is on the symbol “a child and a dog with borrowed eyeglasses.” This is in the 12th house and so it is the reflection in the sunglasses that we can deeply understand the dream. That reflection in the sunglasses is the dog and his boy looking at the children playing getting ready to join in. This moment is the one described by MLK;

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of “interposition” and “nullification” — one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

We become our ideals. At that moment, America herself was engaged and supportive of this vision and major changes occurred. The racial animus in America before 1963 does not exist anymore. The astrological cycle cleared that karma in 1963. It allowed a new clean start. The nation confronted injustice and everywhere improved. This was only possible because the karma was cleared away and a fresh outlook and fresh new ideas could take hold. In 2008 and 2012, America elected an African American President in a landslide twice. The Pisces zodiac sign is the collective and so is inclusive of everyone and everybody and so the vision encompassed the entire nation.

Synastry Chart of America’s horoscope & MLK’s “I have a dream” moment.

The American Dream is denoted by a 22° Virgo Neptune in the 9th in the Sibly horoscope. MLK is the Scorpio Neptune in the 10th in the Dream horoscope. He is the dreamer speaking of healing wounds. The dream ended with a focus on letting freedom ring. This is because MLK’s Dream was the Sagittarian Moon and it was in square aspect to the American Dream. The Sagittarius zodiac sign is concerned with expansion and freedom and the American Dream lives in the 9th house, Sagittarius natural house. This theme is meaningful and provides a point of agreement. There is tension in the square aspect and forces action to address the tension. You can’t ignore it. The agreement that this was about freedom released the tension and promoted America’s actions that expanded freedom.

No matter how good the rhetoric was, it was the effect of the speech that mattered. There was strong emotional sensitively toward this speech. MLK’s Chiron, MLK as the Dream’s Scorpio Neptune, and America’s Sun created a Grand Water Trine evoking complete emotional understanding. The nation was in agreement with the vision and the tension from the square meant it needed to be addressed immediately. The Sun Venus conjunction dug deep and took the trash out and Neptune made sure everyone was included. This was not about one race this was about the nation as a whole.

Transit Neptune squares the Sagittarian Moon

The Dream horoscope is undergoing its Neptune square and the common ideal that had been animating the nation has been challenged. The last day of the exact square will be February 16, 2022 at 4:36 a.m. at the Lincoln Memorial. America will be right in the midst of its Pluto Return. The Sun will be conjunct the American Aquarius Moon and this configuration squares the nodal path of the Moon in Scorpio and Taurus. The American people will re-balance the nation’s resources with a major emphasis on Taurus. Taurus is about your own personal estate; its possessions, values and valuables. Fortunately, Pallas representing wisdom is conjunct Sibly’s Imum Coeli (I.C.). This very exciting alignment suggests America will potentially move away or be forced by circumstances to move away from the debt based past represented by the Leo Moon and toward greater individual resources. Scorpio’s dependency, fear and control robs people of their freedom. This is how MLK’s Dream is part of America’s Perseus Return.

The voice of Neptune is the outer planet most often heard. The immense creative ability to inspire comes out in creative works all the time. In the Dream horoscope, Neptune was conjunct MLK’s Descendent (D.C.) and Neptune was MLK’s partner. MLK had not expected to speak about the dream but he was inspired. A lady in the crowd asked him to tell them about the dream. His words were the words of the collective and he gave the vision, a perfect Piscean Moment that changed America.

And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!
