Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales and the wife of Prince William, has announced she has cancer. The Windsors appear to be in a stage of painful relationship with Pluto. Queen Elizabeth II called 1992 her annus horribilis, the year Pluto smashed his way through the Royal Firm and laid low three of the Queen’s children’s marriages and burned down her house. Back to back cancer announcements from the King and Princess of Wales and one can’t help but look at Pluto. Kate had her abdominal surgery the day before King Charles attended the same clinic for his benign prostate surgery. Both probably left the clinic knowing they had cancer. They started treatment in early February.
Three of the four top senior royals; King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are all Leo Ascendants. Only William, Prince of Wales stands out as a Sagittarius Ascendant. Pluto just entered Aquarius again and will retreat at the end of the year for the last time before moving into Pisces until 2043. Already, King Charles has left himself vulnerable to Pluto’s effects by having himself and his wife crowned as princes at their coronation in front of a audience of commoners not allowed to put on coronets. Tisk tisk, his reign was originally announced as the Ascendant was just changing to Aquarius. Pluto is passing through that senstive spot now for the second of three bites of that particular apple. Catherine, Princess of Wales, is different. In deference to King Charles, she stepped back and let him announce his cancer first. Known as Kate, her Cancer Announcement chart, puts her name asteroid, Kate, at 3° Capricorn. The Sabian symbol is “a man bundled in fur leads a shaggy deer.” Appearing somewhat bedraggled, this man is ready for winter. Sitting in the blooming garden, Kate looked like she has been in an intense fight. She has lost weight that she could ill afford to lose and at times appeared stressed and very concerned.
The asteroid Kate is in a grand trine with the Virgo Moon and Taurus Midheaven. In particular, the Virgo Moon sits on the symbol “two angels bringing protection.” Looking at the Cancer announcement chart, it appears that Kate has a major fight ahead of her. The Pisces Venus is on the symbol “sword in a museum” and is conjunct Saturn on the symbol “an examiniation of initiates.” This is not about modernity and ease but about discipline (Saturn undergoing and giving tests), ancient spiritual weapons (the ancient sword) and spirituality (Pisces). She is going deep in the eighth house. This isn’t going to be over quickly. The eighth house is hell. Plumbing the depths. To emphasize these threads, the ruler of the chart is the Aries Sun. Her entry into the Royal Family is defined by her marriage horoscope. The reality is Pluto will take a couple of years to cross the Descendant of this chart. The first cross will be March 2026. The ninth house emphasis of the announcement horoscope, especially as regards the chart’s ninth house north node, appears to presage a religious awakening for Kate. It is this very spiritual awakening that seems to indicate that although this may be a long fight, it won’t be lost in the end.
Saturn is in Pisces and this period of time represents his regular time of testing. Kate Middleton is a Capricorn Sun, a child of Saturn, and Capricorn south node, she has within her the required toughness to hold up to this time of testing.
