Wonderland’s Martial Games – Alice in Wonderland, 1862

The Rabbit Hole. A state of convolution. Down the rabbit hole exists Wonderland. The strange amalgamation of thoughts and feelings. Taking on the amorphous shape of dreams. There your thoughts produce bizarre solutions. Alice falls down the Rabbit Hole and comes to a tiny door leading to a marvelous garden. There she drinks a potion and shrinks. She eats cake and grows. She picks up the Rabbit’s fan and shrinks so much she almost drowns in her own tears.

Although the time the story was told in the afternoon is not known, Venus rules the Libra zodiac sign. The tale itself is better explained by the Gemini Venus than the Taurus Pluto. Alice is the curious girl who follows a rabbit underground. Her partner is the Pisces Mars in the 5th.

The asteroid Alice appears in the 8th house of the underworld. Alice is embodied in the Gemini (curiousity) Venus (a young girl) in the 8th house. At 3° of Gemini, the Sabian symbol is “the garden of the Tuileries”. Venus is sextile the Aries Neptune in the 5th. Wonderland here is the 5th house where playgrounds abound but have a martial (Aries) flavor. Alice sees the door into the garden but the garden is actually a croquet court filled with the court of playing cards. The Queen of Hearts is a rather imperious and violent character. Of all the characters, she is the one that is best described by the Pisces Mars. Her presence on the croquet court places her and Alice on a game field. The ruler of the Ascendant, Alice as the Gemini Venus, playing the ruler of the Descendant, the Queen of Hearts as the Pisces Mars. The Queen’s only solution to any problem is to sever someone’s head. She sees to nothing herself and so the characters are quietly pardoned by her husband the King.

Lewis Carroll conceived of the Queen of Hearts as a “blind fury”. Mars rules the Aries zodiac sign. Mars represents single point releases of energy. The Pisces zodiac sign leads to the Queen (Mars) having a vague anger and fury. Her inability to carry out the sentence herself means it is the words that represent the martial release of energy. “Off with her head.” Being ruled by her heart, the Queen is ruled by the characters and events happening in Wonderland as she also rules Wonderland through fear of her temper. The Rabbit Hole. The place where thoughts and feelings conjure dreams. Alice’s Arian Wonderland is based on her own martial instincts. If food is available, she eats. If drink is available, she drinks. She, like the Queen of Hearts, reacts to Wonderland and it reacts to her.
